The Medicaid Interim Committee, created during the 2006 General Session for the express purpose of studying the entire Medicaid landscape, will hold its first meeting June 14, 2006 at 8:00 am in the room W135 of the West House Building, State Capitol Complex.

The Governor’s message in the Tribune regarding Medicaid dental benefits is confusing. It seems that he, and obviously the Media, do not understand how the budgeting process works. The Legislature doesn’t need to approve the Medicaid Dental funding. The Health Department can make that decision themselves.
Rep. Joe Murray, R-Ogden, offers this post about, HB 9, a bill he sponsored during the 2006 General Session. The recent death of Officer Jose Argueta from cancer earlier this week underscores the importance of this bill.
